The thesis aims to analyze the impact of the fourth industrial revolution in the automotive sector. After having identified what we mean by industry 4.0, we will analyze the changes that this has brought to the sector, both process-wise (Smart Factories in particular) and product-wise (Electric Vehicles). The thesis will conclude by highlighting how the applications of industry 4.0 differ depending on the segment of the sector taken as reference (mass market, premium or luxury).
L'elaborato mira ad analizzare l'impatto della quarta rivoluzione industriale nel settore dell'automotive. Dopo aver identificato cosa intendiamo per industria 4.0, si analizzeranno i cambiamenti che questa ha portato nel settore, sia a livello di processo (Smart Factories in particolare) che di prodotto (Electric Vehicles). L'elaborato si concluderà evidenziando come le applicazioni dell'industria 4.0 divergano a seconda del segmento del settore che si prende come riferimento (mass mmarket, premium o luxury).
