Utilitarianism and Ethics of Care present themselves as two profoundly different approaches in the ethical-philosophical debate, not only due to the divergent practical formulation they come to, but also due to the metaphysical and epistemological background underlying them. In a hyperconnected, globalized world that provides Moral Philosophy with new and growing challenges, this discussion aims to advance dialogue as a mean of clarification for the complex reality that surrounds us. The text will first be providing with an account of the theories of Personal Identity that serve as foundation for the perspectives considered, thus highlighting divergences; therefore, through tight and mutual analysis, their boundaries will be tested to reach out a method that takes into consideration distinctive insights from both perspectives. The last part aims to put into practice what has been earned from previous sections and thus to propose an analysis of a widely debated and studied clinical macro-cases in bioethics today: Artificial Intelligence in doctor-patient relationship. This is aimed at arguing for dialogue to be a tool that allows ethical research to constantly progress.

Abstract
This is aimed at arguing for dialogue to be a tool that allows ethical research to constantly progress.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
