As I am interested in studying the Persian reliefs excavated from different places and now found all over the world, I would like to study the Achaemenid Empire reliefs. I will present two pairs of significant reliefs from museums, one of them in Iran, the other in another country. Then I will describe their features and the way they were excavated and found, as well as how and why they were moved to the museum and displayed and how many times and where they were moved over time. Using the analogy of these objects and their movement through time, space and culture, I will analyze their mobility. The objects and their locations: 1. Cyrus Cylinder- British Museum 2. Persepolis Administrative Archives (newly relocated to Tehran’s National Museum of Iran from Chicago University) 3. Bull Capital – Louvre Museum 4. Capital – Persepolis Site in Iran - The first two are my first pair which are both a written form relic. - The 3 and 4 are the second pair which are building parts.

Abstract
- The 3 and 4 are the second pair which are building parts.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
