The thesis addresses the challenge of measuring and managing energy flows within RECs. It examines the feasibility of establishing a REC centered around a 1 MW photovoltaic plant in Motta di Livenza (TV), Italy, serving various local customers. The study aims to determine the benefits for the plant owner in forming a REC and for private citizens, companies, and public administrations in joining it. It includes an analysis of recent Italian government incentives for RECs and an optimization of the number of users to maximize energy and economic benefits. Additionally, the thesis compares different management systems to identify the optimal strategy for REC operation.
