The following thesis was born following an internship period at the chemical company Fenice S.p.A. The objective is to investigate and explore which methodology is applied by the HSE office for the management of dangerous substances. The aim is to demonstrate how the adoption of a structured and effective internal procedure leads to simplification and correct management of substances, satisfying compliance with the CLP regulation and its updates. In the introductory chapters the company is presented with its three offices, the activities it carries out and the certifications achieved. The concept of "dangerous substances" is defined, the prevention hierarchy and the importance of professional exposure limits are described, to prevent workers' health risks. Chapter three delves into the CLP regulation, in particular the classification, labeling and creation of a safety data sheet phase. The concept of "company procedure" is introduced, analyzing the useful advantages in company management, the areas where it can be applied, the key steps for implementation and the importance of staff involvement for its correct adoption. Subsequently, the internal process, previously introduced, is applied to three case studies: SE 408, AR 655 and OLEAL®EX. For each of them, the event that determines a change in the classification of the substance will be identified and the phases of identification, classification, labeling and notification to ECHA of the formulations will be analysed.

Abstract
For each of them, the event that determines a change in the classification of the substance will be identified and the phases of identification, classification, labeling and notification to ECHA of the formulations will be analysed.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
