This thesis examines the agroecological and agroforestry transitions in the Oriente Antioqueño region of Colombia, focusing on the veredas of the municipalities of Santuario and Carmen de Viboral. Utilizing the FAO's TAPE (Tool for Agroecology Performance Evaluation) method combined with an ethnographic approach, this research evaluates the case studies' transitions. The primary aim is to understand the challenges faced by the local campesinos in their shift towards agroecological practices, with a particular focus on two cases that also incorporate agroforestry systems. By integrating quantitative assessment with qualitative insights, this study provides a comprehensive evaluation of these transitions, highlighting the differences between agroecological transitions that include agroforestry and those that don't. The findings aim to offer critical insights into the socio-cultural and practical factors that influence the success of agroecological and agroforestry transitions, contributing to the broader discourse on bottom-up climate resilience.

Abstract
The findings aim to offer critical insights into the socio-cultural and practical factors that influence the success of agroecological and agroforestry transitions, contributing to the broader discourse on bottom-up climate resilience.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
