Le lingue fischiate, un fenomeno linguistico affascinante e poco conosciuto, rappresentano un sistema di comunicazione alternativo all'utilizzo della voce. Diffuse in diverse aree del mondo, queste lingue utilizzano fischi e suoni prodotti con la bocca per trasmettere informazioni complesse. La presente tesi di laurea si propone di esplorare le lingue fischiate da un duplice punto di vista: culturale e linguistico, con particolare enfasi sugli aspetti fonetici. Nella prima parte, si delineerà il contesto culturale in cui si inseriscono le lingue fischiate, analizzando le diverse comunità che le utilizzano e i ruoli che esse ricoprono all'interno della loro vita quotidiana. Si approfondirà inoltre il valore simbolico e identitario associato a queste lingue, esplorando le loro connessioni con la storia, le tradizioni e la cultura materiale dei popoli che le parlano.
