The aim of this dissertation is to offer a collection of translations of press articles from the French monthly Le Monde Diplomatique, as well as to carry out an in-depth analysis of the final texts, namely their formal and semantic properties (Larose 1989). linked to discursive genre (Reiss and Vermeer [1984] 2013). Particular attention will therefore be paid to the macrostructure and microstructure of the texts inscribed in a situation-intentionality in order to reveal the functioning of translation. After having briefly retraced the events of the Yugoslav wars which marked the years 1990-1999 in order to better understand the context of the documents, the second chapter will be devoted to the translation of this corpus of press. From a translation perspective, the third and fourth chapters will focus on the one hand on isotopies, namely on the redundancy of identifiable semes in linear structure and in the semantic network of texts, on the other hand on the key logical articulators. Finally, an exploration of the initial texts and their translation will be carried out in order to identify the axiologization and modalization of adjectives and adverbs which highlight the journalists' point of view.

Abstract
Finally, an exploration of the initial texts and their translation will be carried out in order to identify the axiologization and modalization of adjectives and adverbs which highlight the journalists' point of view.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
