Circularity, circular business models and 3D printing

At present, circular economy and circular business model are hot topics in academic research. Based on this, this paper adopts literature research, case study, comparative research and data research methods, and takes 3D printing companies such as Stratasys, 3D Systems and Ultimaker as research objects to explore the significance and implementation of circular economy in the context of 3D printing. This study also deeply explores the intersection of 3D printing and circular economy, and fills the gap in the literature on the application of 3D printing technology to circular economy. This study shows that the combination of circular economy and 3D printing technology provides a useful reference for enterprises to improve market competitiveness by improving resource utilization, reducing production costs, and increasing innovation efforts, highlighting the importance of circular economy in promoting long-term sustainable development, and contributing to both national economic sustainable development and global sustainable development goals.
