The utilisation of black soldier fly larvae in wastewater treatment represents a sustainable and efficient approach to organic waste management. The larvae are capable of significantly reducing organic matter and converting waste into biomass and biofertiliser. This study examines the organic concentration threshold in wastewater that black soldier fly larvae can effectively treat. The findings indicate that the larvae flourish and function optimally within a specific range of organic load, beyond which their efficiency declines. Understanding these thresholds is vital for optimising wastewater treatment processes and ensuring environmental safety. The results reinforce the potential of black soldier fly larvae as a viable solution for organic waste management in wastewater systems, contributing to both waste reduction and resource recovery.
