The post-consumption processes of the fashion industry's global value chain and assessing the connection between circularity and its environmental impacts are examined together with its economic consequences. This thesis aims to assess particularly the circular economy of the fashion industry including current trends and practices of the post-consumer activities and they are contributions to the circular economy. It also explores the connection between the global value chain and the circular economy concept by assessing a comprehensive review within the fashion industry including the sharing economy and other current models. The connections between current practices in the circularity of fashion and the resource flow within the global value chain, product design, and product life cycles are examined. Especially to promote the circular economy, emphasis has been placed on post-consumption stages such as recycling the products instead of creating waste. An evaluation of the circularity in the fashion global value chain is presented by synthesizing the insights obtained after the analysis. A particular focus is placed on examining the post-consumer activities of the fashion industry to promote sustainable options.

Abstract
A particular focus is placed on examining the post-consumer activities of the fashion industry to promote sustainable options.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
