Prospective Memory constitutes the ability to remember an intention to carry out a certain behavior in the future. This ability becomes more important with increased age as overall illnesses increase and failing to carry out behaviour such as taking medication can be fatal. Moreover, cognitive processes change with age. Therefore, this study assesses the difference of PM task performance between young and older adults through utilising EEG.

Abstract
Prospective Memory constitutes the ability to remember an intention to carry out a certain behavior in the future. This ability becomes more important with increased age as overall illnesses increase and failing to carry out behaviour such as taking medication can be fatal.
