Increasing productivity and improving process efficiency are crucial goals for each company that strives to grow with consistency. One promising approach is the application of the World Class Manufacturing method, a set of tools and procedures that aim to enhance the operational performance of companies by making them more efficient and spreading this culture across the entire corporation. It integrates the concepts of various approaches, including Total Productive Maintenance, Lean Manufacturing and Total Quality Management. This is the methodology that have inspired Stevanato Group, a leading global provider of drug containment, drug delivery and diagnostic solutions to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector. Through the past few years, they have created their own version of the World Class Manufacturing, developing most of the technical pillars that constitute its foundation. During my internship, which I did at their production plant in Piombino Dese, I had the opportunity to work in one pillar, the Focused Improvement. The primary need expressed by the company was to assess the future working conditions of the direct personnel involved in the cartridges forming department, following some layout and machinery changes planned by the end of the year. Thereafter, it emerged the exigency of optimizing the utilization of these workers. In this thesis it is proposed, after a careful analysis and implementation of Time and Motion Study techniques to map all the activities, a solution to manage the human resources workload. In particular, a dashboard has been created to better manage the direct operators, which will suggest the proper number of workers needed for the specified working scenario. This will facilitate the determination of the best arrangements and enable redundant operators to be better allocated to areas of greater need, thus optimising their workload.

Abstract
This will facilitate the determination of the best arrangements and enable redundant operators to be better allocated to areas of greater need, thus optimising their workload.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
