The working and economic world is changing, along with the aspects and trends that characterize it now and will characterize it in the coming years. However, it is certain and proven, that organizational inclusiveness is a strategic function for a company’s success, health and future. This study investigates the difficulties encountered in the current working world, such as flexibility, job insecurity, and various forms of inequality and discrimination. It also presents tools to overcome these difficulties, for instance inclusion, cosmopolitanism, and sustainability. The company leadership’s attitude towards inclusiveness and sustainability is the central focus of the paper, which is divided in two parts. The first is a theoretical review of the literature, the recent dynamics and governements’ choices, to understand what has been accomplished so far. The second is a experimental part aimed at assessing the level of employer’s awareness in some Italian businesses, regarding the constructs of inclusiveness and sustainability, and their complexity. The overarching goal is to understand how much and what can still be done to aspire to a sustainable and quality future for everyone.
