The proposed approach consists of two stages. In the first stage, using the SWARA fuzzy method, evaluation criteria are weighted and hotel performance is measured according to economic, social, and environmental aspects. In the second stage, by structuring a fuzzy inference system, the performance of hotels is measured from the sustainability perspective. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated using data from two hotels, one in Iran and the other in Italy.
