The aim of this paper is to provide a proper analysis of a new type of technology that is becoming particularly relevant for firms, the Artificial Intelligence. After providing a general description of which are the main factors that define this technology, while also examining its development through time, the paper will focus in particular on how AI can affect the labor market, by analyzing in detail factors such as its effect on the overall labor demand or its total impact on the level of job quality perceived within the working environment.
