This thesis investigates the role of Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) in promoting sustainable business strategies through the application of Big Data and Cloud Computing. It examines the transformative effects of digitalization on global value chains, business models, and the sustainability of digital infrastructure. The study highlights the integration of servitization and digital technologies, enabling businesses to transition towards service-oriented and sustainable models. Emphasis is placed on the environmental challenges posed by data centers and cloud infrastructure, alongside strategies for digital sustainability, such as leveraging renewable energy and circular economy principles. The research includes a case study on Italian firms to analyze trends, strategies, and challenges in aligning IT infrastructure with sustainability goals. This work underscores the critical importance of CDR in fostering environmentally responsible digital growth and outlines pathways for integrating ethical and sustainable practices into business strategies.
