MATRIARCHAL AND PATRIARCHAL SYSTEMS: EXPLORATORY APPLICATIONS TO SUSTAINABLE ORGANIZATIONS

The thesis explores the complex concepts of matriarchy and patriarchy, examining their definitions and historical contexts to understand their influence on contemporary society and organizational structures. It also analyzes female entrepreneurship, delving into its essential characteristics and connection to sustainability. The study concludes with an investigation of seven women-led companies to assess the application of matriarchal or patriarchal principles within their organizational models, exploring how these principles contribute to sustainable business practices.

La tesi esplora i complessi concetti di matriarcato e patriarcato, esaminandone le definizioni e i contesti storici per comprenderne l’influenza sia sulla società contemporanea che sulle strutture organizzative. Viene analizzata anche l’imprenditorialità femminile, approfondendo le sue caratteristiche fondamentali e il rapporto con la sostenibilità.
