The research addresses the topic of spirituality in the context of palliative care. In 2018, the World Health Organization (WHO) recognized the spiritual approach as the fourth dimension of health, equally important as the physical, psychological, and social components. The Italian Society of Palliative Care has included spiritual competencies among the requirements in the core curriculum for healthcare providers, ensuring that care is comprehensive and addresses the total pain of the individual and their families. Exploring spirituality is considered essential for the contribution it offers to palliative care and its ability to go beyond the biological and physical limitations of illness. The aim of this research is to explore the concept of spirituality from the patients' perspective, what gives them meaning and strength at this stage of life; and to understand each individual's values and wishes to provide personalized and dignified care, respecting the expressed needs, will, and desires. To achieve this, the research involves two interviews: the first, a semi-structured interview, will address topics aimed at gaining knowledge, with the goal of understanding the spiritual history, the predominant values in their life story, what has changed over the years, and what still has a strong influence. The second part involves the presentation of some of the GO WISH cards and the selection of the most relevant content at that specific moment in life.

Abstract
The second part involves the presentation of some of the GO WISH cards and the selection of the most relevant content at that specific moment in life.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
