Il gioiello femminile nel Novecento, tra storia, costume e società: nove capolavori di Bvlgari, Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels

This survey analyses and describes nine jewels, that were very important in the story of the jewellery Maison Bvlgari, Cartier and Van Cleef and Arpels during the last century. There will be considered other aspect, that follow the creation of a jewel, like the historical and social context, the gems and the stones used, the role of the buyer and the possible inspirations.

Il presente lavoro prende in esame nove gioielli esemplificativi della storia delle maison Bvlgari, Cartier e Van Cleef and Arpels nel corso del Novecento. Attraverso l’analisi e la descrizione di ciascuno, si affronterà lo studio di alcuni aspetti, che accompagnano la realizzazione di un gioiello, quali il periodo storico, le gemme e le pietre utilizzate, il ruolo del committente e le possibili ispirazioni.
