This thesis examines the connection between ecofeminism and tourist-recreational practices in mountain regions, highlighting how the ecofeminist approach provides an innovative perspective on the dynamics between gender, environment, and tourism. Ecofeminism emphasizes the links between gender inequality, environmental exploitation, and social injustice, offering critical tools to analyze tourism practices. Through case studies, the thesis showcases examples of mountain tourism that respect principles of inclusivity and sustainability, valuing local communities. Special attention is given to the role of women in mountain areas and their empowerment.

Questa tesi esamina il legame tra ecofemminismo e pratiche turistico-ricreative in ambito montano, evidenziando come l’approccio ecofemminista possa offrire una prospettiva innovativa per comprendere le dinamiche tra genere, ambiente e turismo. L’ecofemminismo sottolinea le connessioni tra disuguaglianze di genere, sfruttamento ambientale e ingiustizie sociali, fornendo strumenti critici per analizzare le pratiche turistiche. Attraverso l’analisi di casi studio, la tesi mostra esempi di turismo montano che rispettano principi di inclusività e sostenibilità, valorizzando le comunità locali. Particolare attenzione è rivolta al ruolo delle donne nelle aree montane e al loro empowerment.
