Metamorfosi impossibili: analisi di alcune trasformazioni letterarie

The current dissertation aims to reconstruct a short history of the metamorphosis in the literary field, from Ancient Rome (starting from "The Metamorphoses" by Ovidius) until the contemporary age with Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis"; then it goes on analysing some transformations written by female authors. In the Italian literary field, the mutations that find place in "Le metamorfosi" by Lalla Romano and "L'Iguana" by Anna Maria Ortese will be introduced to the reader and analysed, followed by two works by writers Elena Brunello and Francesca Mattei; regarding the non-Italian literary field, through the Italian translations, the female transformations in the narrative of South-Korean author Han Kang and the motherly metamorphosis in "Nightbitch" by Rachel Yoder will be investigated.

Il presente elaborato punta a ricostruire in primis una breve storia della metamorfosi in campo letterario dall'antica Roma (partendo da "Le metamorfosi di Ovidio) fino all'età contemporanea con "La metamorfosi" di Franz Kafka, per poi proseguire a un'analisi di alcune trasformazioni narrate da autrici. In ambito italiano, vengono presentate al lettore e analizzate le mutazioni in "Le metamorfosi" di Lalla Romano e "L'iguana" di Anna Maria Ortese, seguite da due opere di Elena Brunello e Francesca Mattei; in ambito straniero, tramite l'analisi della traduzione italiana, vengono esplorate le trasformazioni femminili nella narrativa della scrittrice coreana Han Kang e la metamorfosi materna in "Nightbitch, Bestia di notte" di Rachel Yoder.
