The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between social, emotional, and behavioral competencies and the well-being and academic success of students attending secondary school. The SEB model (Soto et al., 2021, 2024) was used as the theoretical framework. A longitudinal study was conducted involving students from a high school in the city of Nuoro (NU), who were asked to complete several questionnaires at three different times during the school year (beginning, middle, and end of the year). The paper shows the results of the investigation, accompanied by a discussion of the findings, along with an analysis of the study's limitations and potential future directions.
