Adolescence is a crucial phase of human development, characterized by profound physical, cognitive, and emotional changes, during which developmental tasks can generate a wide range of emotions, often accompanied by uncertainty regarding one's role in society and the choices to be made. Among these, intolerance of uncertainty influences how adolescents manage emotions and face daily challenges. Emotional regulation is the process through which individuals monitor, evaluate, and modify their emotional responses to adapt to circumstances. Finally, the vision of the future pushes adolescents to project themselves into future scenarios, which can sometimes generate anxiety and stress, particularly in relation to low tolerance of uncertainty. In this cross-sectional study on a non-clinical group of adolescents, the relationship between these three variables was investigated first in a bivariate manner, and then by considering the indirect influence of emotional regulation on intolerance of uncertainty through the components of future vision.

Abstract
In this cross-sectional study on a non-clinical group of adolescents, the relationship between these three variables was investigated first in a bivariate manner, and then by considering the indirect influence of emotional regulation on intolerance of uncertainty through the components of future vision.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
