The concept of repression is a important piece of psychology or, better, initially of Freudian psychoanalysis. To conceive a definition of the construct is necessary to analyze the unconscious world, in fact in the Freudian vision of the mind, "behind conscious thoughts there is a region of secret shadows, home of secrets that we hide from ourselves". The idea of deceiving ourselves or of forgetfulness desired by one's ego forms the basis of the Freudian concept of repression. Secrets and the fact that we remove them are removed. Freud talks about repression describing it as “Vedrangung” (pushing away, avoiding), repression is his greatest discovery. According to Freud, there are two types of unconscious information: normal unconscious thoughts because at that moment they don't occupy the reader's attention and thoughts that we hide from ourselves, these can only become conscious, after great efforts of the ego.

Abstract
According to Freud, there are two types of unconscious information: normal unconscious thoughts because at that moment they don't occupy the reader's attention and thoughts that we hide from ourselves, these can only become conscious, after great efforts of the ego.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
