This thesis explores Career Anxiety among Italian university students, a topic of growing importance in social, occupational, and educational psychology. The project draws inspiration from a Taiwanese study that developed and validated the Students’ Career Anxiety Scale, a useful tool for measuring career-related anxiety. The main goal is to adapt and validate this instrument in Italy, aiming to provide a reliable measure to analyze this phenomenon in a different cultural context. The thesis is structured into five chapters: the first examines the Italian labor market and its impact on student well-being; the second delves into the literature on Career Anxiety; the third analyzes related psychological constructs such as Trait Anxiety, General Self-Efficacy, Satisfaction with Life, and Positive and Negative Affectivity. The following chapters describe the research methodology, present the results obtained, and discuss their psycho-sociological implications.
