This study aims at finding the extent to which ideology would affect the application of reframing strategies including addition, omission, and labeling in translation of political news from English to Persian. This work is a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis which has been designed in a corpus-based descriptive comparative form. To fulfill the aim of the study, some news was selected from Press TV Website as the corpus of the study. They were set against the Persian version of the same news on the website to provide the comparative purpose of the study. The results of the study proved that translators apply addition, omission, and labeling as strategies to manifest their favorite ideologies. The study also proved the applicability of narrative theory in the news translation.
