This thesis focuses on evaluating and understanding the morphological dynamics of the Adriatic Albanian coast and the adjacent plain, analyzing how these processes influence changes in the coastline and the region's main watercourses. The analysis covers a period of approximately 60 years, from 1957 to the present day, and includes a detailed study of exemplifying points characterized by greater variability over time. The methods used involve the use of orthophotos with raster data from different years, aerial photos, and satellite images, processed through ArcGIS software to analyze morphological changes. The research examines the interaction between natural and anthropogenic factors, including urbanization, dam construction, and river engineering works, which have significantly altered the coastal and riverine territory. The results highlight how human impact has affected sedimentation and erosion processes, disrupting the natural balance of the coast. The thesis concludes with an analysis of future challenges related to climate change and hydrological dynamics, offering potential solutions for sustainable land management.
