Quality control of glass products for advanced or niche applications represents a fundamental phase in the product life cycle. Through the internship in Isoclima Group company, all the inspections present in the process chain were analyzed, in order to find possibilities for improvement. The controls are performed by expert operators with the aid of equipment capable of facilitating the identification of defects or reasons that may cause the non-conformity of the product. With the aim of anticipating the interception of waste as much as possible and reducing its economic impact, it was decided to install a scanner vision system in the first testing center of the production cycle. After a period of fine-tuning and set-up, focused on the identification of bubbles, infusions and inclusions inside the glass, a decrease of approximately 40% in the time required for testing was noted. The adoption of a precise and accurate tool has also allowed to limit the subjectivity in the choices of the operators, decreasing the errors caused by the tiredness that occurs during working hours.
Il controllo qualità dei prodotti in vetro per applicazioni avanzate o di nicchia, rappresenta una fase fondamentale nel ciclo di vita del prodotto. Attraverso lo stage presso l’azienda Isoclima Group, sono state analizzate tutte le ispezioni presenti nella catena di processo, al fine di trovare possibilità di miglioramento. I controlli, chiamati internamente all’azienda collaudi, sono eseguiti da operatori esperti con l’ausilio di attrezzature in grado di facilitare l’individuazione di difetti o motivi che possono causare la non conformità del pezzo. Con l’obbiettivo di anticipare il più possibile l’intercettazione dello scarto e ridurne l’impatto economico, si è scelto di installare un sistema di visione scanner nel primo centro di collaudo del ciclo produttivo. Dopo un periodo di messa a punto e di set-up, focalizzato nell’individuazione di bolle, infusioni e inclusioni interne al vetro, si è potuto notare una diminuzione di circa il 40% del tempo richiesto al collaudo. L’adozione di uno strumento preciso e accurato ha anche permesso di limitare la soggettività nelle scelte degli operatori, diminuendo gli errori dati dalla stanchezza che si manifesta durante le ore di lavoro.
