Project financing in the Italian energy sector: an overview and the analysis of a case study

Description of the use of the project financing in Italy with focus on the public sector, especially for projects regarding renewable energy. Focus on how this instrument can support Italy in reaching the European targets for 2030 and 2050. The case study describes a proposal of project financing that the student has developed in a private company, City Green Light, for the municipality of Varese. The proposal is about installing different photovoltaic power plants in Varese, with the addition of storage systems when useful and economically convenient. These plants are also required to be organised in the form of "Autoconsumatore individuale a distanza" (a sort of Renewable Energy Community with a single member).
