CFD analysis of the NASA SR2 rotor for advanced turboprop propulsion. The CFD analysis results are compared with experimental data available in the literature to verify the consistency of CFD simulations with wind tunnel experiments. The key performance parameters analyzed are the power coefficient, thrust coefficient, and overall efficiency. Simulations are performed for 10 different advance ratio values (ranging from 2.88 to 3.35) and three different meshes (for grid sensitivity testing). The maximum deviation from experimental results is around 9%. Grid refinement indicates that medium and fine grids yield slightly better results (with an improvement of around 1-2%).

Abstract
CFD analysis of the NASA SR2 rotor for advanced turboprop propulsion. The CFD analysis results are compared with experimental data available in the literature to verify the consistency of CFD simulations with wind tunnel experiments. The key performance parameters analyzed are the power coefficient, thrust coefficient, and overall efficiency. Simulations are performed for 10 different advance ratio values (ranging from 2.88 to 3.35) and three different meshes (for grid sensitivity testing). The maximum deviation from experimental results is around 9%. Grid refinement indicates that medium and fine grids yield slightly better results (with an improvement of around 1-2%).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
