The European Union has set ambitus goals to face climate change and lead to the transition towards a sustainable and low – carbon future. The European Green Deal is the project launched by the European Union, which includes a comprehensive strategy to achieve the climate neutrality by 2050. To achieve this goal, changes in key sectors, like energy, industry or transport, are fundamental. In this framework, the textile sector has a significant environmental impact and is the fifth largest contributor to greenhouse gases emissions globally. Companies should be aware that every operation and decision made by them has an impact on the environment. This thesis project aims to propose a new approach to reducing environmental impacts based on the control and influence, that a company can have on different stages of a product's life cycle. By making targeted and sustainable choices in areas such as the selection of raw materials, production processes, transports, use and end-of-life, the company can significantly reduce its emissions. This approach is applied to OVS company, a leading Italian fashion retailer, specializing in the design, production and distribution of clothing for men, woman and children.

Abstract
This approach is applied to OVS company, a leading Italian fashion retailer, specializing in the design, production and distribution of clothing for men, woman and children.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
