This contextual framework is followed by a review of academic literature to establish a theoretical basis for the study. Subsequently, the research focuses on the impact of the recent Pillar 2 directive, with an in-depth examination of its implications for member states such as Ireland and the Netherlands. Data for the analysis is sourced from the OECD and official government publications, ensuring reliability and relevance. The findings aim to enhance understanding of corporate tax policy harmonization and its potential economic and fiscal impacts within the EU.
Questa tesi analizza gli effetti dell'armonizzazione fiscale sulle imprese all'interno dell'Unione Europea, valutando se le recenti innovazioni fiscali apportino benefici concreti agli stati membri. L'analisi inizia con una panoramica dell'evoluzione dell'armonizzazione fiscale nell'UE, tracciandone lo sviluppo storico e le principali tappe fondamentali. Questo quadro contestuale è seguito da una revisione della letteratura accademica per stabilire una base teorica per lo studio. Successivamente, la ricerca si concentra sull’impatto della recente direttiva Pillar 2, con un’analisi approfondita delle sue implicazioni per stati membri come Irlanda e Paesi Bassi. I dati utilizzati per l’analisi provengono dall’OCSE e da pubblicazioni ufficiali dei governi nazionali, garantendo affidabilità e rilevanza. I risultati mirano a migliorare la comprensione delle politiche di armonizzazione fiscale sulle imprese e dei loro potenziali effetti economici e fiscali nell’UE.
