Il cinema di Jane Campion, Creazione e Sublimazione

The thesis, situated at the intersection of cinema and psychoanalysis, explores the theme of the transformation of drives into creation and sublimation through the themes and forms present in Jane Campion's cinematography. The analysis focuses particularly on the concepts found in three of the director's films: An Angel at My Table (1990), The Piano (1993), and Bright Star (2009). Additional exploration is dedicated to topics such as the representation of female figures in Jane Campion's cinema and the cultural and artistic interpretation of one of the films under analysis, and New Zealand as the cultural reference context will also be explored in depth.

La tesi, nell'ambito di cinema e psicanalisi, tratta del tema della trasformazione della pulsione in creazione e della sublimazione, attraverso temi e forme presenti nella cinematografia di Jane Campion, concentrando, in particolare, l'analisi dei concetti presenti in tre film della regista: "Un angelo alla mia tavola" (1990), "Lezioni di Piano" (1993) e "Bright Star" (2009). Verranno approfondite anche tematiche quali le figure femminili nel cinema di Jane Campion e l'interpretazione sia culturale che artistica di uno dei film in analisi e la Nuova Zelanda come contesto culturale di riferimento.
