The history of cinema, until the 1970s, was a history written by men, for men only. Feminist cinema of the period is therefore the political act of a subject 'without history', who tries to include a different dimension of the human in a system created specifically to push women to the margins. And it is on the margins that Italian artists work, for a cinema from below by women and for women, a cinema radically different from what was proposed on the big screens of the period. Rewriting history by telling events, processes, transformations, subjects that were not previously considered important means rejecting a passive position to recover space and give voice to unexpected subjects, through new practices and experiences.

Abstract
The history of cinema, until the 1970s, was a history written by men, for men only. Feminist cinema of the period is therefore the political act of a subject 'without history', who tries to include a different dimension of the human in a system created specifically to push women to the margins. And it is on the margins that Italian artists work, for a cinema from below by women and for women, a cinema radically different from what was proposed on the big screens of the period. Rewriting history by telling events, processes, transformations, subjects that were not previously considered important means rejecting a passive position to recover space and give voice to unexpected subjects, through new practices and experiences.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
