La versione siriaca dell'Omelia XVI (gr. XV) sul Cantico dei Cantici di Gregorio di Nissa: testo, traduzione e commento.

The thesis focuses on the study of the Syriac version of the Homily 16th (Gr. 15th) on the Song of Songs by Gregory of Nyssa of which, starting from the existing manuscript fragments, a textual reconstruction is provided together with an Italian translation. The study also focuses on the comparison of the Syriac text with the original Greek version, identifying the translation criteria and stylistic choices used by the Syriac editor within the broader phenomenon of translation of the works of the Greek Fathers into the Syriac language.

La tesi è incentrata sullo studio della versione siriaca dell'Omelia XVI (gr. XV) sul Cantico dei Cantici di Gregorio di Nissa della quale, a partire dai frammenti manoscritti esistenti, viene fornita una ricostruzione testuale unitamente ad una traduzione italiana. Lo studio si sofferma inoltre sul confronto del testo siriaco con l'originale versione greca, individuando i criteri di traduzione e le scelte stilistiche impiegati dal redattore siriaco all'interno del più ampio fenomeno di traduzione delle opere dei Padri greci in lingua siriaca.
