This thesis examines the impact of war on the agrarian economy and local development in the Kherson region, a key agricultural area affected by ongoing conflict. Agriculture plays a crucial role in the region’s economy, providing employment and contributing to food security. However, the conflict has led to severe disruptions in farming activities, supply chains, and access to essential resources such as seeds, fertilizers, and machinery. Additionally, damage to critical infrastructure, including irrigation systems and transportation networks, has further exacerbated the challenges faced by local farmers and businesses. The study aims to assess the extent to which these disruptions have affected agricultural output, economic stability, and the livelihoods of rural communities. It will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining statistical analysis of economic data with qualitative insights from local stakeholders, including farmers, agricultural experts, and policymakers. By analyzing key indicators such as production levels, market access, and employment rates, this research seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the socio-economic consequences of the conflict. The findings will contribute to policy discussions on recovery and development strategies, offering practical recommendations to support the rebuilding of the agrarian sector and promote sustainable local development in the post-conflict period.

Abstract
The findings will contribute to policy discussions on recovery and development strategies, offering practical recommendations to support the rebuilding of the agrarian sector and promote sustainable local development in the post-conflict period.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
