Dantons Tod di Georg Büchner: analisi e confronto delle traduzioni italiane

This thesis analyses six different Italian translations of Georg Büchner's Dantons Tod, comparing them to highlight the translation strategies adopted by the various translators. The first chapter introduces the author, the historical context and the play, providing a general framework useful for understanding the characteristics of the text. The second chapter is dedicated to theatre translation in general and the main translation difficulties that can arise. The third chapter focuses on the comparison of the translations, examining the translators' linguistic and stylistic choices. The aim of the thesis is to understand how different translations influence the perception of the work and how translation difficulties are addressed.

Questa tesi analizza sei diverse traduzioni italiane dell'opera Dantons Tod di Georg Büchner, confrontandole per evidenziare le strategie traduttive adottate dai vari traduttori. Il primo capitolo introduce l’autore, il contesto storico e l'opera teatrale, fornendo un quadro generale utile per comprendere le caratteristiche del testo. Il secondo capitolo è dedicato alla traduzione teatrale in generale e alle principali difficoltà traduttive che possono emergere. Il terzo capitolo si concentra sul confronto delle traduzioni, esaminando le scelte linguistiche e stilistiche dei traduttori. L'obiettivo della tesi è comprendere come le diverse traduzioni influenzino la percezione dell'opera e il modo in cui le difficoltà traduttive vengano affrontate.
