La rivista ŽENŠČINA I ROSSIJA tra femminismo e dissidenza: un percorso nella storia del byt e della cultura sovietici

The aim of this thesis is to propose and analyse the translation of some selected passages from the samizdat magazine «Ženščina i Rossija», which was born in Leningrad between the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s with the aim of highlighting the difficult condition of Soviet women. The thesis is divided into five chapters: the first chapter offers a brief historical and cultural excursus on the Brezhnev era; the second presents the environment of the Leningrad underground, the most important stages in the history of the women’s liberation movement in the Soviet Union, as well as the genesis and main themes of the almanac «Ženščina i Rossija» and the subsequent religious magazine «Marija»; the third focuses on the methods, strategies and techniques of interlingual translation between literature and journalism; the fourth chapter presents the proposal for the translation of the selected passages, while the fifth offers a commentary and an in-depth analysis of the translated texts.

Il presente lavoro di tesi ha l’obiettivo di proporre e analizzare la traduzione di alcuni brani scelti dalla rivista samizdat «Ženščina i Rossija», nata a Leningrado tra la fine degli anni Settanta e l’inizio degli anni Ottanta con l’intento di mettere in luce la difficile condizione della donna sovietica. La tesi è stata suddivisa in cinque capitoli: il primo capitolo offre un breve excursus storico e culturale sull’epoca di Brežnev; il secondo presenta l’ambiente dell’underground leningradese, le tappe più importanti della storia del movimento di liberazione femminile in Unione Sovietica, nonché la genesi e le tematiche principali dell’almanacco «Ženščina i Rossija» e della successiva rivista di carattere religioso «Marija»; il terzo si concentra sui metodi, le strategie e le tecniche della traduzione interlinguistica fra letteratura e pubblicistica; il quarto capitolo presenta la proposta di traduzione dei brani selezionati, mentre il quinto offre un commento e un’analisi approfondita dei testi tradotti.
