Luci e ombre nel lavoro di cura: un’analisi intersezionale di storie di donne migranti

This research aims to investigate various facets within the labor sector of care and elderly care. Specifically, the focus is on migrant women from Eastern European countries who work or have worked in the past as care workers in Italy. Through interviews and adopting an intersectional perspective, an attempt was made to find possible common or different features that distinguish these women to highlight this profession's positive and negative sides. It was also reflected more generally upon the management of care work by other professionals who are in close contact with these women workers to investigate how the welfare system and the state influence the management of the sector.

Lo scopo principale di questa ricerca è quello di indagare varie sfaccettature all’interno del settore lavorativo della cura e dell’assistenza agli anziani. Nello specifico, il focus è rivolto verso donne migranti che provengono da Paesi dell’Est Europa e che svolgono o hanno svolto in passato la professione di lavoratrice di cura in Italia. Attraverso delle interviste e adottando una prospettiva intersezionale, si è cercato di riscontrare possibili caratteristiche comuni o differenti che contraddistinguono queste donne per mettere in luce i lati positivi e quelli negativi di questa professione. Si è inoltre riflettuto più in generale circa la gestione del lavoro di cura grazie ad altre figure professionali che sono a stretto contatto con queste lavoratrici per indagare anche come influiscano il sistema di welfare e lo Stato nella gestione del settore.
