Vegan philosophy reflects the fight for social justice, inclusivity, and ethical consideration for all beings, as is unceasingly emphasized by the queer liberation movement. Both veganism and queer theory challenge dominant societal norms and structures that perpetuate oppression and exploitation. These movements advocate for empathy and compassion towards marginalized groups, whether non-human animals or individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. The active practice of empathy highlighted in this study is informed by an awareness of the dissonance between one’s behaviors and beliefs, influenced by psychological mechanisms and cultural contexts. Through a critical analysis of literature, theoretical frameworks, and empirical studies, this research aims to underscore the importance of recognizing and engaging with the intersections of these domains to advance social justice, ethical consciousness, and inclusivity in contemporary society.

Abstract
Through a critical analysis of literature, theoretical frameworks, and empirical studies, this research aims to underscore the importance of recognizing and engaging with the intersections of these domains to advance social justice, ethical consciousness, and inclusivity in contemporary society.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
