This research investigates the coping strategies used by migrant mothers in Abu Dhabi as they navigate the challenges of life in a rapidly changing city. Driven by globalization, Abu Dhabi’s population has grown by 83% since 2011, with migrants making up 88% of the population, 33% of whom are women. Through semi-structured interviews with nine first-generation migrant mothers, the study identified several key coping mechanisms: resilience, motivation drawn from their children, religious and spiritual practices, community involvement, and fulfillment through career advancement. Analyzed using ATLAS.ti software, the research employed a Grounded Theory, phenomenological, and feminist framework. The findings highlight the need for supportive policies that uplift migrant mothers and create spaces where their voices and experiences are actively recognized.
