Cybersickness is a state in which individuals encounter physiological and psychological reactions such as nausea, dizziness, headaches, and the like while immersed in virtual reality (VR). The objective of this study to determine whether the analysis of movement-based heat map images can be instrumental in distinguishing two distinctive groups linked to cybersickness – with and without symptoms. As such, applying appropriate statistical methods (mean, standard deviation, etc.) on a sample of 720 images, the differences between each group – with symptoms and without symptoms – were identified and tested for any statistical significance under the assumption that difference in the image classes as dictated by the pixels of the images is an indication of cybersickness symptoms. It is anticipated that this study will be beneficial in understanding the intricacies of cybersickness and how heat map could be instrumental in comprehending cybersickness and its symptoms.

Abstract
Cybersickness is a state in which individuals encounter physiological and psychological reactions such as nausea, dizziness, headaches, and the like while immersed in virtual reality (VR).
