"Il brigante": dal romanzo di Giuseppe Berto al film di Renato Castellani

The thesis consists of a study of the novel Il brigante by Giuseppe Berto and the homonymous film adaptation by Renato Castellani. With the help of materials from Archivio Scrittori Veneti, it examines the two works, their respective authors, the critical reception at the time of their release and tries to reconstruct the history of the relationship between the author of the novel and the production of the film.

La tesi consiste in uno studio del romanzo Il brigante di Giuseppe Berto e dell'omonima trasposizione cinematografica ad opera di Renato Castellani. Con l'ausilio di materiali dell'Archivio Scrittori Veneti, essa prende in esame le due opere, i rispettivi autori, la ricezione critica al momento della loro uscita e prova a ricostruire la storia dei rapporti tra l'autore del romanzo e la produzione del film.
