The thesis presents a historical reconstruction of the artistic activity of Sandra Marconato (Padua, 1927 – 2016), based on the analysis of archive documents and contemporary sources. The review and cataloguing of her personal archive have highlighted the urgency of starting a process of recovery and valorisation of her work in order to investigate philologically the historical context of Sandra's artistic experience. The thesis follows the artist's personal history, her debut as an exhibitor and the formative years in Venice, alongside prominent figures such as Anna Akerdahl and Carlo Scarpa. Her move to Padua in 1951 is then analyzed comprehensively. There she teaches weaving at a vocational school while pursuing her artistic career. The work continues with a detailed analysis of her first exhibits from the 1950s-1960s, until now almost completely unexamined until now, and finally ends with an in-depth look at the relationships the artist developed with key figures in the cultural scene of Padua at the time.

Abstract
The thesis presents a historical reconstruction of the artistic activity of Sandra Marconato (Padua, 1927 – 2016), based on the analysis of archive documents and contemporary sources. The work continues with a detailed analysis of her first exhibits from the 1950s-1960s, until now almost completely unexamined until now, and finally ends with an in-depth look at the relationships the artist developed with key figures in the cultural scene of Padua at the time.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
