This study aims to develop and test an operational model for calculating the Carbon Footprint of Organizations (CFO), based on the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard. The goal is to provide a simple, modular, and accessible tool designed for Italian organizations looking to initiate an environmental reporting process. The model, built in Excel and based on open-access data, calculates CO₂e emissions related to Categories 1 and 2 of the standard (direct emissions and emissions from imported energy). It was applied to the case study of “We.Do Holding S.p.A.”, an Italian industrial group operating in the furniture sector, to evaluate its operational effectiveness and identify potential weaknesses. The results were compared with those produced using SimaPro software in order to validate the tool's accuracy. The analysis highlights the technical feasibility of a simple and free approach to emissions reporting and offers practical guidance to support its adoption in real business contexts.

Abstract
The analysis highlights the technical feasibility of a simple and free approach to emissions reporting and offers practical guidance to support its adoption in real business contexts.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
