This study, conducted using the qualitative methodology of focus group, explored the perceptions and attitudes of young adults toward the climate crisis, with particular attention to their levels of awareness and participation in actions to combat climate change. 4 focus groups were conducted with a total of 26 participants (F=18, M=7, NB=1). The study was born following the involvement of the city of Padua in the project, promoted by the European Union, "Net Zero Cities Mission", which aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Among the various initiatives presented by the Municipality of Padua, the socio-technical strategy of the Renewable and Solidarity Energy Community was explored with the participants, placing particular attention on the value of the community and civic engagement as supporting factors of the energy transition.
La seguente ricerca, condotta attraverso la metodologia qualitativa dei focus group, ha permesso l’esplorazione delle percezioni e degli atteggiamenti dei giovani adulti verso la crisi climatica, approfondendo i livelli di consapevolezza e partecipazione alle azioni per contrastare il cambiamento climatico. Sono stati condotti 4 focus group con un totale di 26 partecipanti (F=18, M=7, NB=1). Lo studio nasce successivamente al coinvolgimento della città di Padova nel progetto, promosso dall’Unione Europea, “Net Zero Cities Mission”, che si pone l’obiettivo di raggiungere la neutralità climatica entro il 2030. Tra le varie iniziative presentate dal Comune di Padova, è stata approfondita con i partecipanti la strategia socio-tecnica della Comunità Energetica Rinnovabile e Solidale ponendo in particolare l’attenzione al valore della comunità e del civic engagement come fattori a sostegno della transizione energetica.
