This study investigates the relationship between environmental consciousness and pro-environmental behavior among European citizens. A composite index is constructed to measure environmental consciousness based on survey responses, and its association with multiple dimensions of self-reported sustainable practices is explored. By incorporating regional environmental indicators and controlling for sociodemographic and geographic factors, the analysis aims to assess whether and how attitudinal awareness translates into concrete pro-environmental actions. Using regression models within a cross-national framework, the study contributes to a better understanding of the behavioral drivers of environmental engagement in the European context.

Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between environmental consciousness and pro-environmental behavior among European citizens. A composite index is constructed to measure environmental consciousness based on survey responses, and its association with multiple dimensions of self-reported sustainable practices is explored. By incorporating regional environmental indicators and controlling for sociodemographic and geographic factors, the analysis aims to assess whether and how attitudinal awareness translates into concrete pro-environmental actions. Using regression models within a cross-national framework, the study contributes to a better understanding of the behavioral drivers of environmental engagement in the European context.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
