Abstract
This study investigates the structural conditions that contribute to the rise of populist movements in advanced democracies, Using an accurate econometric framework, the analysis unravels the complex interplay between socio-economic conditions and electoral behavior, accounting for both temporal trends and country-specific heterogeneity. The findings reveal robust empirical relationships between socio-economic conditions and populist voting behavior, offering critical insights for policymakers addressing the rise of populism in advanced democracies. The study concludes by discussing implications for democratic governance and political stability, while outlining directions for future research in this pivotal field. The study wraps up by talking about the wider effects on democratic stability, highlighting the importance of policy responses that tackle important issues and social unity. This research connects real-world analysis with political theory, adding to the expanding research on the difficulties that liberal democracies encounter in a time of rising polarization.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
