This thesis focuses on the morphological analysis and hazard assessment of the Trebbia River in Northern Italy, with particular attention to the delineation of morphodynamic corridors and their evolution in response to extreme flood events. Following the methodological guidelines of the IDRAIM framework, the river was segmented into geomorphologically homogeneous reaches, enabling a systematic analysis of channel dynamics. Morphodynamic corridors were delineated using historical orthophotos and DTM data from the years 2011, 2015 (post-flood), and 2020, and subsequently compared with flood-induced channel widening from the 2015 event. In addition, the study investigates erosion patterns in valley slopes and evaluates the effectiveness and limitations of current hazard assessment tools in identifying vulnerable areas. The outcomes contribute to improving strategies for integrated river basin management and risk mitigation in dynamic fluvial systems.

Abstract
The outcomes contribute to improving strategies for integrated river basin management and risk mitigation in dynamic fluvial systems.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
